As a student of the Canadian Academy of Dental Health and Community Sciences (CADH), it is imperative to create and maintain an ongoing portfolio throughout your academic journey. This portfolio is an extensive collection of my educational work including my grades, assignments as well as my clinical experience, community service involvement, and personal achievements that I have accomplished from level one to level four. It also serves as a personal record of my growth and development, highlighting my strengths in the best possible light, areas of improvement, and reflections on my process of learning. This portfolio features my accomplishments and capabilities to myself, my professors, my present and future mentees, and any future employers. This portfolio serves as a real reflection of my journey toward self-improvement, which I hope will inspire others to embark on their own personal growth. The contents of this portfolio provide an overall view of my expertise, limitations, and competencies, as well as my unwavering commitment to excellence. It stands as a testament to my willingness to embrace my imperfections and learn from my mistakes.
 
The memory of my earlier days when I eagerly engaged in cooperative efforts with patients in the clinic to acquire firsthand experience is still vivid in my mind. I remember feeling inspired by the opportunity to work alongside the clients and witness the positive impact of our collective efforts. Those experiences helped shape my approach to healthcare and reinforced my commitment to providing compassionate and effective care. Now, I am filled with excitement as I am about to embark on a new journey where I will be working in a dental office. My primary objective is to demonstrate to prospective employers that I am a young, enthusiastic, and diligent worker. During the last two years, I have undergone a significant transformation as a clinician. Through my experiences, I have developed a newfound sense of confidence in my abilities and have become much more meticulous when it comes to documentation. Additionally, I have sharpened my skills in time management, enabling me to be more efficient and effective in my work. This has given me the skills to educate them on how to achieve optimal oral hygiene and promote good oral health. As a result, I am now well-equipped to provide excellent customer service and build lasting relationships with patients.
 
After successfully completing the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board Exam and the CADH program, my goal is to become a licensed dental hygienist and provide top-notch dental care to my patients. To make this a reality, I intend to gain experience by working full-time in my hometown Surrey, British Columbia. Moreover, I am eager to challenge myself by obtaining a local anesthetic certification while working in British Columbia. This is an important short-term goal that will allow me to expand my skill set and better serve my patients in the upcoming years. With my determination, passion, and hard work, I am confident in achieving my aspirations and building a successful career in dental hygiene. To remain up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices, I intend to regularly attend informative seminars and conferences. By doing so, I can expand my knowledge, learn new techniques and strategies, and network with other professionals in my field. This will enable me to continuously improve my skills and stay ahead of the curve. After working as a dental hygienist for some years, my goal is to fulfill my dream of becoming a dentist. Although there will be obstacles, I am determined to succeed in my long-term goal.
